Customer Protection Services is responsible for protecting customer and corporate data across all of Amazon, whether it's the retail website, Kindle or AWS, we secure the data. Every aspect of our business interacts with our systems, if our systems are not up and running the company stops, and if we're not rapidly delivering new, easy to use features the whole company slows down. We're at the intersection of can never go down, and need to move at agile, internet speed. We're connected to all aspects of Amazon's business. Including enabling the next generation of retail services on AWS infrastructure.
Our products is used for permissions management for all of Amazon. We are looking for Support Engineer that will own engagement with service owners in Amazon that use our products to protect their services and their customers' data. Ideal candidate invents smart solutions that improve various aspects of customer experience, such as enabling users with self-service tools. We are looking for candidates who empathize with our customers and advocate on their behalf, who love working on security, and are analytical and creative.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Provide hands-on engineering design and participate in the implementation of software tools and processes to support Amazon's mission-critical services.
· Work in a UNIX/Linux environment to support and manage distributed software running with Oracle or Postgres databases for large-scale, performance-critical and highly available distributed systems.
· Plan and participate in implementing scaling activities for Amazon's software fleets, and troubleshoot issues with large-scale software systems and end-to-end systems, providing technical details, as well as risk assessment and recommendations for improvements.
· Partner with engineering teams to debug software programs, make enhancements to existing software systems, and design and develop software features to ensure systems are scaled and supportable.
· Devise and set standards around software maintainability, and design and implement automation for manual tasks to improve efficiency.
· Use SQL, Ruby, Perl, Java and Business Intelligence Analytics to collect and publish operational metrics and analyze trends.
· Manage and implement client focused trainings, including developing the curriculum and training materials, and providing in-person and online training.
· Maintain ongoing analysis of client contacts and use this analysis to drive recommendations for strategic improvements

Profil recherché


· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent experience.
· 3+ years of professional software development experience
· Strong architectural and system design skills in Java, C#, or other high-scale programming language.
