How does Advertising work at Amazon?
Our job is to deliver engaging advertisements by targeting the right customer with the right creative. We build self-service tools for our advertisers to simplify available options to a goals-oriented ad builder allowing advertisers more time to quickly set up campaigns and improve their sales, while giving them the tools and reporting to optimize running campaigns.
We are looking for a strong Software Engineer to help us build the next generation of UI experiences and self service tools. We are seeking that rare combination of solid coding background, but an aptitude and love to apply cutting edge UI frameworks (Angular, ReactJS, etc), challenge the status quo and raise the UX bar on every product you build. You have a proven record of mastering at least one front end framework, and have passion to help us make our front end the best on earth. As a key team member, you will help build and scale a combination of self-service tools, customer-facing shopping experiences on Amazon.com worldwide, rapid UI experimentation and analytics UI interfaces.
We foster and embrace innovation; you will get a chance to apply cutting edge front and backend end technologies and help us build, scale and operate a multi-million initiative of Amazon Advertisement. You will work with customers to scope, design, implement, test and launch new features. You will determine and recommend the right design and UX based on business objectives, timelines and resource constraints. You will frequently interface with the advertising platform (e.g. delivery and analytics) teams, search, Softlines & Browse teams, retail organization across many categories, the traffic generation team and vendor management. · Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
· Equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree based on 3 years of work experience for every 1 year of education
· 3+ years professional experience in software development
· Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design
· Computer Science fundamentals in data structures
· Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
· Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl
