DESCRIPTION

Amazon's Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) group is looking for software engineers for its Purchase Order (PO) system, which is at the center of Amazon Retail and FBA businesses. It is the link between our Vendors/Sellers and Amazon warehouse inventories.

In this team, you will work with Software Engineers, Product Managers, Vendor Managers, Instock Managers, and various internal business users, to solve interesting and complex problems. You and your fellow engineers are responsible for designing, building, and deploying changes to the system to keep it running robustly 24x7. This is a unique opportunity to see the direct impact of your work on billions of dollars' worth of goods flowing from Vendors/Sellers to Amazon warehouses.
You should be comfortable diving deep into technical architectures and business requirements, be able to quickly identify solutions to challenges, and ready to work with various technologies, especially AWS. Prior experience with service-oriented distributed systems is highly desirable. Successful candidates will thrive in fast-paced environments that leverage agile planning, encourage and reward creative design, intelligent risk taking, and find innovative ways to leverage cutting edge technologies.
Web and native mobile front-end are new initiatives on our 2019 roadmap so we are also looking for developer with UI front-end experience.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

BS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
1+ years of relevant industry experience
Strong coding skills in and , on a Unix/Linux platform
Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive
Ability to work well with people and be both highly self-motivated and motivating
Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
