Advertising is one of the hottest growth areas at Amazon. Our Demand Side Platform (DSP) is becoming increasingly popular with major advertisers worldwide and is competing head-to-head with the big players in the space. Our goal is to make Amazon's DSP the number one destination for E-commerce advertising anywhere in the world. We believe we understand e-commerce advertising better than anybody else and want to turn it into a science of its own. We are the team that designs, develops and deploys the software that constitutes our DSP, and we are looking for a few great engineers. We own the customer-facing web applications that advertisers use to set up campaigns on our ads platform, along with the back-end services that power them. We work across a wide variety of technologies and platforms and focus on building highly scalable systems that reflect our deep e-commerce expertise and our understanding of our customer's needs. Our systems are known for the impact they have and the value they deliver to our customers. Over the next few quarters, our plan is to work on applications that capture customer goals at a high level and make customized campaign recommendations. We will develop algorithms that study the results of a large number of past campaigns and learn continuously to make optimal recommendations and maximize ROAS for the customer.
As a Software Development Engineer II, you will design and develop solutions that will benefit our customers by automating major campaign optimization functions and enabling self-service campaign setup and management. The ideal candidate will have passion for innovative customer experiences, and a focus on building highly scalable and efficient systems.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 1+ years of non-internship professional software
development experience.

· Programming experience with at least one modern
language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
·
· 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture
and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling)
of new and current systems.
