Are you an experienced technical leader passionate about building scalable, enterprise-level systems? The AWS Global Business Operations (GBO) team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to play a key role in building a new Headcount Planning Application and expanding its Customer Information Analytics Platform. In addition to requiring a high level of technical expertise, this role is about understanding the needs of the business, the data behind it, and how to transform this information into technical solutions that allow the business to make swift, informed decisions. Ideal candidates will have expertise with all phases of the web application development life cycle in building models that scale over time while balancing accuracy, flexibility, and speed.

In this role you will be responsible for building a world-class web application. Our team is looking for a Software Development Engineer with experience on both front end interfaces and back end systems. You will play an instrumental role in defining the system architecture, own and implement specific components, and help shape the overall user experience. You should have a good understanding of building usable, high performance web applications. You must be willing to insist on the highest standards for quality, maintainability, security, and performance. You will ensure that engineering best practices are followed and that software is designed to be highly available, dynamically scalable, and resilient to continuity threats.

The right candidate will have a strong system delivery background, a well-rounded technical background in current web and object oriented technologies, and demonstrated experience working on medium-to-large projects. You must be able to thrive in an ever changing entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or related discipline
1+ years of software design and development experience with an emphasis on building rich, data driven web applications
1+ years of experience in one or more core programming language (Java, C++, Ruby, JavaScript)
1+ years of experience in one or more scripting language (Python, Perl)
1 + years of experience using a modern JavaScript framework and libraries such React, Angular, D3, Vue
1+ years of experience with web technologies and techniques (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, Single Page Application)
