Our team builds the application development frameworks and runtimes the highest-traffic websites at Amazon are built on. If you are passionate about application development frameworks, content management, developer efficiency, and micro-services, look no further. We are building the next generation of content rendering systems and developer experiences supporting Amazon engineers building applications and services worldwide. The stack of capabilities includes micro user experiences, AI rendered pages, Java & Javascript runtimes, and command line utilities to manage it all.

We need your technical prowess to solve some incredibly hard problems. Your immediate customers are other developers, and your ideas and code will touch hundreds of millions of real users worldwide. You will have the opportunity to impact the technical choices we make at Amazon and how Amazon developers develop. Key Responsibilities:
· Play a major role in the design and implementation of the system capable of supporting a wide range of use cases, and high scale with high quality.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the company to launch best in class technical solutions.
· Lead the design reviews and actively participate in design reviews of related software.
· Optimize the performance and improve the availability of systems to exceed Amazon's high quality bar.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
· Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
· Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
· Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
· Equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree based on 3 years of work experience for every 1 year of education
· 2+ years professional experience in software development
· Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design
· Computer Science fundamentals in data structures
· Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
· Knowledge of, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl
· Willingness to learn TypeScript, Node.js and other modern programming languages as needed.
