Amazon.com's Shopping OS team is looking for talented, motivated and passionate software engineers to be part of the design and development of highly scalable multi-tiered shopping applications and platforms to provide the best possible online shopping experience for Amazon customers world-wide.

Engineers on this team develop next-generation technology platforms and experiences that change how millions interact and shop online. To provide the best possible online shopping at the scale of the web requires ideas from every area of computer science including distributed computing, large-scale system design, machine learning, natural language processing, data compression; the list is growing every day. We need our engineers to be versatile and always eager to tackle new problems as we continue to push technology forward.

The person should be an active practitioner of engineering excellence: keeping a high bar for quality, consistency, maintainability, efficiency, security and all the other things that make great software great. You will work with the best of Amazon to build systems that accelerates our engineering and product teams.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field
· 3+ years of professional experience in software development
· Strong in design patterns, algorithms, data structures and problem solving
· Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language such as Java or C++
