We are seeking Software Development Engineers be part of the team that will focus on customer awareness and acquisitions. Your team will grow the top of the funnel by building features that turn non-shopping activities into shopping moments. You will build the machine learning based recommendation services that identify situational shopping moments as well the right opportunity to present those moments. You will also build the delightful experiences that present such opportunities to the customers.

In this role, you will have the freedom (and encouragement) to experiment, improve, invent, and innovate on behalf of our customers. You will have the satisfaction of being able to look back and say you were a key contributor to something special from its earliest stages. You will build and operate massively scalable services while also developing delightful app experiences. You will be working closely with multiple product managers and engineers from partner teams in Speech Recognition, Amazon Retail and Hardware Development.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent in related field.

· 3+ years of professional experience in software development
·
· Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design
·
· Computer Science fundamentals in data structures
·
· Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
·
· Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as Java, C, C++ or Objective C
