More about this project - We are building Case Management and Investigation Platforms and looking for a solid engineers who can take this platform to the next level with creative thinking and innovation. We do Full Stack Development which gives candidate exposure to Front End, Middle Tier and Backend Services. We leverage AWS Services Extensively and it is a great opportunity for someone to make a huge impact to the Legal Org at Amazon.

As a Software Development Engineer, you will help solve a variety of technical challenges and will have the opportunity to do full stack development. Given that this is an early-stage initiative, you will play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables. You will help invent new features, design, develop and deploy highly scalable and reliable solutions. You will work with a variety of core languages and technologies including Java, Angular, Dynamo DB, Lambda, SQS, SNS and many other AWS services. You will tackle challenging, novel situations every day and given the size of this initiative, you’ll have the will be able to own end to end design of system component. You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity that’s higher than most projects and relish the idea of solving problems that, frankly, haven’t been solved before - anywhere. Along the way, we guarantee that you’ll learn a ton, have fun and make a positive impact.

We are also keen to take this platform to the next level by bringing AI/ML to make this a robust, self serviced and intelligent case management platform.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
· Equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree based or 3 years of work experience for every 1-year of education
· 5+ years of hands on experience in software development, including design, implementation, debugging, and support, building scalable system software and/or Services
· Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms
· Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, C#, Java
· Be responsible for overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance
· Mentor other engineers, define technical culture, and help grow the team
