Amazon is looking for a creative software development engineer (SDE) for Fulfillment by Amazon's (FBA) new business initiatives. As mentioned by Jeff Bezos, Founder and CEO of Amazon.com, in his annual letter to shareholders in 2006, again in 2008, 2011 and most recently in 2013, FBA is one of the strategic long term opportunities for the company to improve the lives of sellers and buyers while leveraging our billion dollar logistics infrastructure to generate increasing free cash flow and triple digit return on invested capital. Our long term vision is that customers can order and receive a seller's product the same day anywhere in the world.

As an SDE, you will not only be solving complex problems, but also engaging with the team to design and architect systems to extend our fulfillment capabilities and bring sellers into this expanding FBA network. You will contribute in the design of applications, API's, SDK's, tools, and process of how we can enable sellers to offer their FBA inventory for sale in multiple marketplaces. Join Amazon FBA team and help develop software that delivers the best set of tools for Enterprise and third-party sellers to utilize our platform and reach millions of customers. We are open to new ideas and path breaking experiments to build next generation of shopping experience with cutting edge technologies. You will be responsible for the development of the backend and frontend side of the development and will completely own the destiny of the system you built.

We are a close-knit team of engineers that are agile, data driven, and highly collaborative. Additionally, you will be expected to work with top engineering talent, manage evolving and complex demands, drive architecture, build quality software and innovate on behalf of our customers.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BS in Computer Science or related degree (Master's or Ph. D. preferred) along with 3+ years of relevant experience
· Proficiency in object oriented programming in Java, C#, or C++
· Knowledge of Computer Science Fundamentals (data structures, OO design, algorithms, and problem solving)
· Demonstrated innovation
· Comfortable working in a lean, rapidly iterative product development process
· Demonstrated delivery of large-scale, initially-ambiguous projects
