DESCRIPTION

Amazon Total Consumer Electronics and Kitchen (Total CE+K) JP is looking for a exceptionally talented Site Merchandiser (“SMD”).
The SMD will be responsible for executing various strategic projects within our retail and marketplace businesses to increase traffic,
improve customer experience, and drive a wide range of initiatives and projects.
(JP Total CE+K currently consists of the following categories: Electronics, Wireless, Audio&Video, Personal Computers, Camera, Office Products,
Music Instruments, Kitchen and Major Appliances categories, Private Brand.)
In particular, this position will focus on the initiative to improve customer journey to destination and drive traffic of private brand like 'amazon basic' while collaborating with the related teams.
This SMD will report to Sr. PM and drive his/her own project.

The SMD will be required to have marketing experience and problem-solving skill that he/she can analyze data quantitatively using metrics to back up assumptions and identifying opportunities.

The SMD will also need to coordinate cross functionally with Vendor Managers, Brand specialist, Merchant Managers, and Instock Managers to drive: traffic generation/acceleration, cross functional promotions, new initiatives and services, new business opportunities by user experience studies, reflecting US’s best practices in terms of improvement of customer experience, catalog quality, new stores, etc.

Competencies required:
· Analytical skills in interpreting business performance, key financial metrics, online metrics. Inquisitive mind to analyze large datasets, logically dissect issues
· Project management skills, communication, identifying key contacts, tracking, reporting
· Tools: Familiar with data analysis through excel and internal business intelligence tools
· Conversational-level and reading, writing skill in English is required
