Are you ready to help Amazon UK launch a new business? As a Junior Services Category Manager (SCM), you will help build, communicate, and grow Amazon's vision of delivering a new online Services marketplace. Our goal is to make the find, buy, and fulfill experience for Services as trusted, easy, and reliable as it is for Products.
A Junior SCM position requires working with various functional owners to drive impact across seller recruiting, business development, category management, and marketing. This role requires deep analytical skills; the ability to synthesize complex data sets and extract knowledge and insights that are actionable for the business. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with evidence of creative problem-solving, a passion for learning and curiosity, proven data analysis skills, and an ability to demonstrate strong ownership/commitment. Customer obsession is a must.
Core Job Responsibilities
· Work closely with both Marketplace and Retail teams to understand and help define their service needs including developing strategy, execution plans, and metrics to drive adoption.
· Partner with seller recruiting to aid third-party service providers in understanding key metrics that can drive growth and overall sales
· Deep dive on key purchase and fulfillment levers (e.g., conversion) to develop product, marketing, and other key insights
· Become a subject matter expert in service metrics and mechanisms and help communicate this information effectively to other business leaders and stakeholders
Desired profile
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in product management, retail, or business operations
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills (data analysis, forecasting, reporting, etc.)
- BA/BS required
- Experience with Excel/Access or similar database, SQL or VBA skills a plus
