Job description

DESCRIPTION

Security is the epitome of customer obsession!

AWS World Wide Revenue Ops (WWRO) is building out a security team to focus on the fastest growing part of the business. This team will partner with the central AWS security team while building org-specific capabilities. This includes building scalable mechanisms, tools, and products that enable sales & marketing teams to be more secure. The opportunities are huge, and the impact is massive.

AWS Sales & Marketing teams use data in complex, high volume ways. Figuring out appropriate roles and access controls requires dozens of specialists across hundreds of tools. WWRO Security is working to replace this process and enable faster, more tailored access to data. The Security Ops team is core to this mission. We are creating specialists who can recognize common access patterns that tool owners and sales groups don’t recognize, and work with development teams to automate these patterns.

Individuals on this team will be accountable for managing access control to WWRO services and data (and longer term, all of Sales and Marketing) as a centralized and streamlined service. Team members will work with business teams to define requirements, policy experts to establish what can be allowed, and service teams to figure out how best-fit polices can be deployed. Individuals on this team will own user management ticket queues, help to build SOPs and runbooks for necessary manual processes, and use their hands on experience to inform the Security team’s roadmap to build better tools, mechanisms, and automation. Individuals on this team will also be critical in identifying other critical mass pain points from a security operations standpoint that should be centralized and offered as a common service.

We are looking for a Security Operations Analyst who is passionate about security and progressing the vision of security in WWRO. The ideal candidate will be motivated, have strong attention to detail, and will model Amazon Leadership Principles. You will have the opportunity to engage with systems that are at the cutting edge of technology and scale, using AWS and a variety of cloud tools. You will partner with the Security Architecture and Engineering teams to build the team's roadmap, taking disparate requests from customers, gathering data, and prioritizing security work that will impact Amazon's millions of customers. Customer Obsession, strong Ownership, curiosity, and an ability to deal with ambiguity are critical for this role.

Your day to day job responsibilities will include:
· Assist with customer security access requests within service requirement constrains
· Define, implement, and monitor key performance indicators through creation and maintenance of dashboards or reports
· Assist with technical solutions and new security tools to mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
· Configure and troubleshoot security controls in internal AWS tools
· Research root causes of issues, to identify process breakdowns and provide insight on potential solutions
· Assist with Processing, filtering, and presenting insights around large data sets to perform risk assessments
· Route requests for reviews of internal and 3rd party tools to ensure that security objectives are met
· Assist with research and testing of additional security processes and products
