The Amazon Advertising team is always exploring ways to improve the customer experience by providing the most relevant advertising to our customers. Making decisions across millions of potential bid responses in a matter of milliseconds is a tough problem and requires complex high scale engineering both online and offline. Within this group, massive advertising programs are managed at scale (think 1MM concurrent viewers of a live streaming event), generating billions of impressions, customer touch points, and vast data sets. Both Video Advertising and Device Ad Products function as start-ups within Amazon, and offer a creative, fast paced, entrepreneurial work environment where you'll be at the center of Amazon innovation.

Worldwide Advertising has an ever increasing focus in video initiatives with new video products on mobile and living room devices (such as FireTV, Roku and Apple TV) and new programming initiatives. The Video Advertising team in Austin is scaling video advertising on third party content (such as Thursday Night Football, English Premier League, NBA League Pass and other live channels) and on Amazon-owned content. We are building a new business around helping our broadcast customers (such as Twitch and major networks) take their business to the next level by providing them with an end-to-end video advertising solution that leverages AWS technology, Amazon targeting & measurement (attribution) and the learnings from our 10+ years in the advertising business. Device Ad Products is a business initiative focused on monetizing Amazon owned and operated devices. We are building a premium advertising platform that is unlike any that exists today. These are strategic initiatives for the company, and we are growing quickly.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree based on 3 years of work experience for every 1 year of education
• 3+ years professional experience in software development
• Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design
• Computer Science fundamentals in data structures
• Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
• Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl
