DESCRIPTION

Overview
Delivering smiles is at the heart of the AMZL customer experience. Each action we undertake is completed on behalf of our customers because meeting and often exceeding their expectations and delivering our customer promise makes us feel good. The Operations teams in our delivery stations are responsible for managing a complex logistics network and are responsible for the last mile delivery of our customer promise. From receiving shipments into the delivery station to sorting, staging and shipping to our customers, they work very hard to ensure that our customers receive what they want,
when they want it.

The Regional HR Business Partner – Case Manager works as part of the UK AMZL HRBP team and has overall stewardship for case management activities at the site including; grievances, disciplinaries, absence and restricted duties; provides effective coaching and mentoring to build leadership capabilities within line management; Support managers address and resolve multiple types of employee relations challenges; ensures outstanding customer focus by delivering best in class HR support to internal customer groups; drive compliance with our policies and procedures through coaching and advice; ensure 100% data accuracy and track and analyse statistical data to determine effectiveness of relevant HR activities; deliver on business-critical HR related projects and produce daily, weekly and monthly reports to aid management of employee relations activity

Main Responsibilities

You will balance effective employee relations with the drive to maintain and improve employee wellbeing for our network. You will partner with our occupational health providers and seek out opportunities to coach, facilitate and support our employees in all health and wellbeing related topics. From effective reporting and transparency in AMZLs wellbeing landscape including the planning and management of our attendance strategies, through to the development of wellbeing strategies that support our associates and reporting and learning that help our managers to reach their full potential as people leaders.

You will earn the trust of others by forming strong relationships in our network with our customers and professional stakeholders (legal/external counsel), allowing you and your team to partner effectively and to become a trusted advisor in the field allowing you to support and advise your team and customers on complex ER cases, insisting on the highest standards in case management and all matters related to employee wellbeing.

Organisational Development and Planning
You understand key business goals and priorities and are able to apply these to core areas of HR responsibilities in order to prioritize your work and set goals.

Organisational Health
You will actively take on overall stewardship for case management activities at the site including; grievances, disciplinaries, absence inclusive of long term sickness absence, capability and restricted duties. You will specifically support and coordinate investigations for ER issues, covering a range of matters including those of a lower level risk to high risk/greater complexity in consultation with management – ensuring adequate resource and competence to manage each matter to a thorough and timely conclusion. As part of your role, you will conduct audits for compliance on ER related processes, applying your knowledge of local employment law and legislation to ensure the robust and effective delivery and execution of people policies, investigations and associate document management. You will also contribute to the planning and relationship management of the onsite Associate Forum, ensuring the Forum are up to date in their learning and knowledge to ensure they remain effective in their roles. You will track ER related metrics and conduct diagnostics to identify trends and environmental ER or workplace issues, communicating findings to HRBPs and site leadership, implementing components of your findings as part your strategy and action plan that addresses identified issues i.e. ER related learning initiatives, case management resource planning.
Workforce Planning and Recruitment
You may participate in site and UK network interview panels following completion of MGHD training and participate in peer level interviews.

HR Operations
You are able to understand and collect data and pull reports from various HR tools ensuring data integrity through regular audits, while seeking out and driving process improvements within direct area of work. You apply and assimilate the fundamentals of employment law with your deep understanding of ER policies and procedures, identify both gaps in policy and process (making recommendations accordingly) as well as employee and leader knowledge. You serve as a point of contact for managers on employee life cycle issues, with particular focus on attendance and well-being matters. Wherever possible you take the time to support and encourage the behavior of self service for managers. You are responsible for the roll out of new policy changes/services and ensure business adoption and understanding of changes recommending exceptions to policies with input from Sr. Leaders or HR Management as required. You actively use data to proactively drive decision making and action; knowing when to seek additional input to dive deeper into an issue or area. You will also share best practice within the HR Advisor Team ensuring compliance with Amazon HR programs which may include collating and updating HR data, e.g. weekly and daily metrics information, HR reporting and absence narrative.
Data and reporting:
· Continually improve robustness of data reporting and metrics relating case management, attendance, and associate accommodations and work adjustments providing robust dashboard and adhoc reporting;
· Use data to identify issues and causes developing action plans for improvement that help the regional HR team so deploy their area and regional plans;
· Leverage Connections to inform and review opportunities for improvements;
· Co-ordinate activity with key stakeholders such as legal and ER.

HR policy and practices
· Ensure HR policy and practice are legally compliant and looking for opportunities to share best practice and educate on best practice;
· Identify improvements needed to working practices and implement change as agreed with key stakeholders
· Track governance and effectiveness of UK policies.
· Working with the HR team to identify process improvement through standardization and simplification of AMZL people practices.

Manage external/internal suppliers
· Develop external and internal partnerships with ER/legal/ HRS/Occupational Health
· Identify issues and escalate and remedial plans for AMZL service improvements.

Optimise the effectiveness of HR
· Develop and implement metrics to track the effectiveness of AMZL associate wellbeing;
· Make and lead of project recommendations for improvement in partnership with AMZL HR and Ops;
· Produce a monthly dashboard of key activities and indicators;

· Review the judgement and capability of the operational teams and identify areas for development as we continue to prioritise leadership development, associate experience and wellbeing of our employees.
