As Corporate Counsel, Real Estate, you will work with Amazon’s existing real estate attorneys to lease, acquire, build, launch, and manage Amazon facilities throughout Europe. The position is based at Amazon's European headquarters in the vibrant city of Luxembourg. The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is a diverse and multicultural country located in the heart of Europe, bordered by France, Belgium, and Germany, with a total population of around half a million.

The responsibilities of the Corporate Counsel will include:
· Structuring, drafting, negotiating, and counseling on a broad range of commercial transactions related to the acquisition/disposition, leasing, development, and construction of properties, and property management issues relating to Amazon’s real estate portfolio, particularly within the UK, Germany, France, Spain and Italy; and
· Providing day-to-day business and real estate law counseling, identifying opportunities for and implementing process improvements, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· In-house experience (ideally in combination with private practice experience)
· Ability to negotiate and draft in languages other than English, including Spanish, French, Italian, and German

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· A significant amount of post-qualification legal experience as a real estate attorney
· Licensed to practice and in good standing
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once
· Excellent English skills that include the ability to draft and negotiate in English
