DESCRIPTION

LOCATION: Minneapolis, MN
MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE
1. Serve as a primary technical contact to AWS clients and/or development partners to own and drive projects and engagements involving the architecture, design, development and implementation of Amazon's utility computing web services.
2. Lead and collaborate with customer and partner teams on a variety of engagements involving the implementation of client workloads onto AWS architecture and the design and deployment of customer solutions and environments involving security and compliance; HPC, bath and real-time data processing; infrastructure architecture; and/or transformation technologies.
3. Think strategically about business lines, products, and technical challenges and map the intersection of partner needs and AWS priorities.
4. Define technical and project strategies, document best practices, and consult and provide analytical insight on product improvement/development and feature innovation for cloud-based web services and platforms based on scalability, performance, availability and cost.
5. Work directly with customers' technical resources to devise and recommend solutions based on the understood requirements, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base to ensure success.
6. Design, set up and configure software-defined networks, including secure data access for EMR/Hadoop, Redshift and/or compliance control environments.
7. Analyze complex distributed production deployments and recommend ways to optimize performance and/or automate processes.
8. Actively identify opportunities to deliver experiences that demonstrate AWS product and service capabilities, including developing and delivering innovative use cases, proof-of-concept projects and technical workshops.
9. Utilize customer facing skills and technical background to drive discussions with senior leaders regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation, and to coach customer and partner teams to be self-sufficient.
10. Approximately 50-70% domestic travel.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelors degree in computer science, computer or electrical engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in software development or engineering. Experience must include:
2 years of experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software.
2 years of experience with software development life cycle (sdlc) and agile/iterative methodologies.
2 years of experience in scripting and/or coding.
2 years of experience with security, compliance and risk management requirements in software development and automation.
2 years of experience in integration of cloud services with on premise technologies from microsoft, ibm, oracle, hp, sap etc.
2 years of experience with it compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, sox, hipaa etc.)
2 years of IT implementation experience.
