DESCRIPTION

Amazon Global IT's Production Services Team is looking for a Theater Systems Operator to operate onsite screening systems for multiple internal and external teams. This person will own the customer experience and focus on raising the bar in reliability, availability, and quality of the services utilized by customers. A successful candidate will have experience operating in high-pressure situations, a proven ability to handle competing priorities, possess a high level of discipline while remaining flexible, and deliver results to the highest professional standards.

Projectionist candidate will serve as onsite support for internal & external screenings, supporting live event video, coordination of media assets and playback, presentation switching, setup and strike of the venue between events and live technical execution. Successful team members will have a strong background with theater projection systems and playback standards, strong organizational skills, ability to work across multiple teams and cultures, demonstrate impeccable customer service, and be energetically driven to meet the needs of your customers and team.

Responsibilities include:
· Promptly, thoroughly, professionally communicate with team, customers, and business partners.
· Proactively engage with post team to pursue process improvements.
· Provide onsite support for internal and external screenings.
· Support live events production needs in the facility.
· Management of resources media and system resources.
· Manage scheduling and execution of screenings, events, system training, and maintenance operations.
· Facilitate event setup and coordination of assigned systems.
· Thorough testing of equipment use cases ahead of events.
· Staying up to date on the latest in professional and consumer AV technology.
· Build clear standard operating procedures for all processes.
· Demonstrate clear communication with all team members and business partners.
· Search out opportunities to help others improve skillsets and knowledge base.
· Seek out diverse perspectives to build consensus.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Positive, team-minded attitude, willing to jump in anywhere.
· Strong understanding of AV systems and screening environments.
· Familiar with Christie 4K projectors, Dolby Cinema Processors (server), and Blackmagic Video Switchers.
· Familiar with theatrical sound systems, sound files, and configurations.
· Experience with presentation software, such as Keynote & PowerPoint.
· Focused, organized and effective in stressful environments.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Professionally, effectively, and directly engage at every level of the organization.
Working knowledge of:
· Picture files such as ProRes QuickTimes, DNX QuickTimes, and Digital Cinema Packages (DCPs), including 2K and 4K file resolutions, and HDR;
· Editorial equipment such as Avid, Premiere, and Final Cut. Familiar with P3, Rec709, Rec2020 color spaces;
· Color, light, and sound calibration equipment.
