DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a bright, motivated, and hardworking Studio Equipment Manager for our Los Angeles Home Product Photography Studio. The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines.

Daily responsibilities will include:
· Maintenance and tracking of all photography equipment including cameras, lights, strobe packs, stands, modifiers
· Rapidly responding to equipment requests in the editorial and product bays.
· Support requests from other Amazon studios for equipment
· Meticulously maintain a spotless world-class equipment room. Clean equipment and digital sensors
· Maintain par level of spare systems and parts to ensure maximum productivity in each bay
· Assist IT and Lead Digital Technician to update capture stations with new software
· Develop and implement an asset management system to track equipment within the studio or that needs to be sent out for service
· Coordinating with photographers and other Digitechs to identify existing process bottlenecks and rapidly deploying scalable improvements
· Coordinating with software development team to implement continual system innovations
· Staying current with updates to imaging technology and computing platforms
· Consistently meeting production goals, standards, and deadlines
· Identifying and providing ideas for safety improvements
· Maintaining regular attendance and punctuality
· Adhering to strict, safety, quality, and production standards

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Fluency with Capture One, Photoshop, Premiere, Bridge, and FTP clients
· Excellent working knowledge of photographic lighting and equipment, particularly Profoto, and Canon DSLR systems
· Working knowledge of portable electric systems, (lunchboxes, dimmers, distro boxes etc)
· Basic to intermediate skills in Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
· Understanding of color management policies and best practices
· Minimum of 2 years' experience as a digital technician or equipment room specialist in a commercial photography studio
· You should expect to and will be required to cross train and work in different areas of the photo studio
· Must have a strong working knowledge of a Commercial Photo Studio
· Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
· Have the ability to speak, write, and read English fluently
· Be able to stand and/or walk during shifts between 8 to 12 hours long
· Lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch and/or stretch during shifts between 8 to 12 hours long
· Lift and move up to 49lbs
· Push and pull product up to 49lbs during shift between 8 to 12 hours long
· Engage in full dexterity with both hands and wrists
