DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a paralegal to manage all matters relating to coordination and maintenance of our US and foreign patent portfolio. This is a great opportunity to work in a stimulating environment with team-oriented coworkers. Key responsibilities include tracking invention submissions; coordinating the preparation and filing of patent applications; coordinating actions relating to the non-US portfolio; assisting in the diligence process for M&A activities, supporting licensing activities; and acting as a direct facilitator between the legal, engineering departments and outside counsel.

This individual must be able to drive projects to completion with a minimum of input or direction, take initiative in creating and improving work processes, and work effectively on a variety of simultaneously active matters.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 3+ years of experience as an intellectual property paralegal in a law firm or corporate setting, or equivalent experience as a legal secretary at an intellectual property law firm
