Operations Supervisor - Nights.

That’s why we’re seeking an experienced, motivated Operations Supervisor to join our busy Fulfillment & Operations department.

Your responsibilities:

Thinking Big means looking beyond the immediate and considering the bigger picture. In this particular role, it also means developing a strong culture of Health and Safety and always adhering to Amazon’s Standard Operating Procedures.

Furthermore, as Operations Supervisor you’ll strive to plan beyond your own needs, ensuring the sufficient resourcing of your operation. This will include identifying training needs, staying on top of absence & performance management, as well as coaching and continuous monitoring of your department to engender a greater culture of productivity.

Additionally, you will need to constructively critique your department as a whole, making you responsible for tracking trends and reporting on departmental metrics as well as liaising with other departments to share learning. This comes under the high-level remit of achieving greater efficiency, and a key part of your role will be using data to drive improvements and guide our strategy.

From a leadership perspective, you will be highly adaptable to a changing workload in line with the fast paced nature of a night shift sortation operation. You will be leading from the front line and motivating teams of people to deliver excellence.

There are more general accountabilities which include, but are not limited to: tracking and reporting working hours and schedules, as well as reassigning shifts to support a constantly changing workload,
Preferred Qualifications
· Previous leadership experience in a fast-paced warehousing environment.
· Solid understanding of standard sortation processes including inbound and outbound dock management.
· Strong Excel skills.
· Used to working with large data sets to identify trends and look for root causes / opportunities.
· Be familiar with 5 Whys analysis.
· Familiar with the principals of Lean and Kaizen.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· GCSE Maths & English at grade C or above (or equivalent qualifications.)
