We're looking for a team oriented Mechanical Engineer who combines design, analysis, and system integration capabilities with a demonstrated ability to help lead projects and execute quickly and effectively. This person must have experience working in a multidisciplinary environment producing high quality products on tight timelines with medium to high volume production demands.

Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
· 10+ years experience in Mechanical Engineering role
· Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and theories and their use, including heat transfer, fluid flow and/or static and dynamic structural analysis
· Ability to effectively communicate concepts and proposals to internal and external teams, through design reviews and presentations
· Strong organizational skills and ability to collaborate with other teams in a fast-paced environment
· Experience in avionics or aerospace HW
· Strong program management and system engineering skills
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Demonstrated component design in a team environment
· 5+ year experience designing consumer electronics or automotive products
· Proven track record of delivering consumer electronics or optical hardware in medium to high volumes
