The ideal candidate will be an experienced manager with expertise managing software projects and programs. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast paced environment, is a self-starter, and creative problem solver. The candidate will be familiar with AWS services, have strong writing skills, have strong process improvement aptitude, and is willing to roll their sleeves up to dig on any project or problem. The candidate will have high standards for themselves and everyone they work with, and will be constantly looking for ways to improve build performance, quality and cost.

As a Manager, Program Management - Tech in AWS Learning Services you will manage a team of TPMs and other technical roles who are leading multiple simultaneous programs/projects to deliver new features and capabilities. You will provide technical and process leadership to a team of experienced TPMs. You'll work across multiple teams across AWS and AWS Learning Services to track and mitigate risk for new releases, engage in technical design solutions, ensure ensure there is data to support decisions, and implement mechanisms for your team to manage complex technical projects that impact multiple teams at AWS. You will be responsible for hiring and developing and creating a team culture that is constantly raising the bar.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelors or advanced degree in Computer Science or closely related field
· 5+ years of experience managing engineers, project managers, and/or program managers
· 5+ years of experience driving new feature prioritization, development, and delivery
· 2+ years of Program Management experience
