Amazon Video is changing the way millions of customers interact with video content. Amazon Video has been offering Live content to our customers since end of 2015. In 2017, we successfully made NFL Thursday Night Football games available to Prime Video customers globally. Amazon Video has a long term vision and an aggressive roadmap to make more live content available for our customers globally. In this role you will be leading a software development team to innovate on cutting edge technology to build large scale infrastructure to support Live video streaming globally. You will play a key role in building software products and features from the ground up. You will use a wide range of technologies, programming languages and systems. Your responsibilities will include all aspects of software development. You should be passionate about delivering elite digital media experiences to our customers. We are a relatively young but rapidly growing business where creativity and drive can have a lasting impact on the way video is enjoyed worldwide. You will have a deep understanding of software development in a team, preferably using agile methodology and a track record of shipping quality software on time. We value your knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
· Relentless customer focus
· Excellent analytical skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication
· 7+ years of relevant engineering experience
· 2+ years people management experience
· Expert knowledge of at least one modern programming language such as Java, C, or C++
