Job description

DESCRIPTION

The Learning Experience Design team supporting Global Talent Management is seeking a skilled Learning Experience Designer with the ability to leverage agile learning design approaches and processes to solve complex business problems with best-in-class learning solutions that drive meaningful growth with measurable outcomes. This role plays a critical part in Amazon's efforts to be as renowned for our people experience as we are for our customer experience. The ideal candidate will have strong project management, a solid understanding of how people learn, and the creative and technical talent and curiosity to challenge the status quo, innovate, and help re-imagine learning.

Who You Are:
You are a key player in the design and development of learning experiences for our talent management and leadership development efforts. You are a triple threat: you have a great eye for design and aesthetics, you know all about adult learners, and you are technical enough to pull this knowledge together to build engaging, innovative learning experiences. You can switch from editing a video for a hybrid course to coding a website to designing a uniform visual look for a suite of learning experiences. You regularly work with learners, key business partners, leaders and stakeholders to translate business needs into breakthrough learning experiences that shift mindsets and create sustained behavior change. You have the ability and initiative to understand critical business needs, analyze issues, and collaborate cross-functionally to develop scalable learning solutions that move the needle for the business. You are self-driven with a high degree of ownership. You have strong business acumen, excellent communication/influencing skills, and planning/project management skills. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are great at balancing speed and quality.

Who We Are:
Guided by our Leadership Principles and Day 1 culture, our Learning Experience Design team supports Global Talent Management in its mission to help Amazon grow and retain the best talent. Our job is to ensure that the skills of our workforce – particularly our leaders – can scale ahead of Amazon’s massive growth. We innovate, move quickly, and are not constrained by how things have been done before. We are willing to roll up our sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done while insisting on the highest standards and measuring the impact of the learning experiences we build. We need someone that can help us design cutting-edge learning solutions and has the technical skills to deliver them in multiple modalities.

If you are a seasoned instructional design professional that is looking to ply your skills at the highest level, we look forward to getting to know you.
