Amazon is seeking an outstanding Business Analyst Intern (for 6 months) to join Amazon's European Automotive Business team in its European HQ in Luxembourg. The team is a fast growing big business area for Amazon. As such we need the best people to dig in to the details, make sense of it and present it in actionable ways to support the growth. You will be delivering projects to internal customers from very complex data sets. Amazon has a culture of data-driven decision-making, and demands business intelligence that is timely, accurate, and actionable.

Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, relishes working with large volumes and big data, enjoys the challenge of highly complex business contexts and, above all else, is passionate about data analytics and SQL. In this role you will be part of the Product Management team that focusses on driving new business growth as well as optimizing existing operations.

A successful candidate knows and loves working with business intelligence tools, is comfortable accessing and working with big data from multiple sources, and passionately partners with the business to identify strategic opportunities and deliver results. You should have an internal drive to answer “why?” questions, excellent analytical abilities, strong technical skills, as well as superior written and verbal communication skills. S/he would be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail), and enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· You have 2 + years of university education in Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or Marketing or you are a recent graduate from such a field
· SQL writing skills, solid experience with Excel and working with databases.
· Analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and concepts.
· Excellent English written and oral communication skills
· Must be qualified to work in the EU
