The Instructional Designer position will be responsible for designing and authoring training content and being a subject matter expert in the Amadeus Hospitality solutions, specifically focused on CRS and PMS. The major responsibilities of the position are the creation of educational content, dissemination of training to employees and clients, consultation with the clients and Amadeus software development, and the authoring of product online help. The educational content is developed for multiple methods of delivery to include eLearning, Instructor Led, and remote (WebEx). There will be a heavy concentration on product usage documentation for clients as well as internal staff. Written communication and instructional design skills will be heavily utilized with this role.

The position responsibilities fall into the following categories:

· Instructional Design Responsibilities
· Research and determine the optimal method of training deployment based on project scope/timeline, client needs, and fiscal impact.
· Design and Develop eLearning content.
· Design and Develop instructor led (either face-to-face or remote delivery) content.
· Author content for delivery through online help.
· Create new documentation for each new product release, including user-training guides, training agendas, lesson plans, train the trainer guides, certification exams, and technical guides.
· Show creativity in making suggestions and modifications to course design.
· Modify existing training content for new product releases or feature additions to released product versions.
· Follow an educational style guide.
· Training Deployment Responsibilities
· Deliver client-facing instructor led training courses and certifications.
· Travel to client locations as needed (domestic and international travel).
· Deliver in-house instructor led training classes as needed as part of new hire, new product release, or continued education sessions.
· Deliver WebEx training courses to client and internal audiences.
· Subject Matter Expertise Responsibilities
· Work independently to become an expert in the Amadeus CRS and PMS application(s).
· Work with Amadeus R&D, Support and Product Management on new features or existing enhanced product features.
· Be an active member of cross-divisional/departmental teams, collaborating on product design and development sprint meetings.
· Proof read content for relevance and course flow, with a full knowledge of the end-users profile.
· Project and Time Management Responsibilities
· Ability to prioritize and execute on deliverables.
· Ability to work within a Lean Agile team framework.
· Ability to meet deadlines.
· Work within a program iteration and identify potential project completion issues, escalating issues appropriately.
· Work independently on project tasks, either identified or unidentified in a plan.
· Make decisions as required.
· Additional responsibilities as assigned by manager.

Job Requirements

· A minimum of three years training content development, instructional design or delivery experience.
· Strong English writing skills.
· Strong English communication skills.
· Experience in eLearning design and development.
· Strong training delivery/presentation skills.
· Expert level experience in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
· Strong Microsoft Excel, Project, and Visio experience.
· Strong customer service skills.
· Strong time management skills.
· Strong problem resolution skills.
· Self-motivated work ethic.
· Ability to work independently in an unsupervised environment.

Additional job preferences for skills:

· College degree.
· Certified instructional designer or advanced degree in education.
· Certified technical writer.
· MadCap Flare experience.
· Articulate Storyline experience.
· Training experience in hospitality industry enterprise class applications.
· Hospitality experience in the Rooms Division, specifically Front Desk, Reservations, and Revenue Management.
· Hospitality Revenue Management System experience.
· Experience with hospitality solutions such as Opera, Maestro, SMS/HOST, Holidex, ISAC, OnQ, MARSHA, or SynXis.
· Experience or certification in Amadeus solutions.
· Experience working in an Agile Scrum team.
· Graphic design experience.
