DESCRIPTION

Fabric.com, an Amazon company, is looking for a leader with a proven record of utilizing data to drive business improvements. The successful candidate will be skilled at gaining cross-functional support from internal and external teams to drive operational improvement initiatives. This position is responsible for developing and executing inventory management strategies to maximize customer experience, sales, margin, and inventory turns. He or she will ensure all inventory systems and processes are meeting the needs of the business. The position requires an individual who can work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment.

Responsibilities:
· Drive improvement in inventory availability, increasing inventory efficiency and ensuring that the company makes efficient supply chain decisions including improvement to inventory management processes over time.
· Improve key system inputs to achieve highly automated replenishment (e.g.; forecasting, lead times, buying policies).
· Develop and manage inventory forecasts by working with Buyers and fellow Instock Managers to plan product launches, peak season, and industry shifts.
· Manage inventory health by setting and executing exit strategies for unproductive inventory.
· Perform root-cause analysis/reporting on operational issues, and then manage the solution to those issues.
· Develop Standard Operating Procedures for effective processes and knowledge transfer.
· Own & drive the roadmap for Instock management metrics
· Passionately advocate for the customer and category within Amazon.
· Exhibit dedication and commitment to cost-effective inventory management.
· Operate at all levels—think strategically and tactically.
· Integrate strong and clear analysis and business rationale into sound decision making.
· Manage multiple projects simultaneously - work prioritization, planning, and task delegation.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Planning, Information Systems Management, Accounting, or Finance discipline.
· 3+ years experience in supply chain, inventory planning, retail, accounting or finance.
· Proficiency at interpreting data through analytics to make business decisions. Ability to dive in and quickly understand root cause and identify solutions
· Experience leading process improvement, systems development, and project management

· Proven experience delivering results by partnering with and influencing others
· Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
· High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously, willingness to roll up your sleeves
· Ability to think and react in a high energy, fast paced environment.
· Proven track record of success in different roles over time.
· Excellent judgment.
