The Flight Operations Trainer is responsible for training and currency activities to support ongoing Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) test and operational efforts. Responsibilities include:
· Direct training in formal classroom settings, scenario based exercises, web based training, and other forums as required
· Develop training material to include CBT module development, course outlines, lesson plans, workbooks, completion certificates, and training aids
· Perform administrative training duties to include recordkeeping, monitoring progress, and maintenance of training program materials
· Maintain UAS currency and proficiency

The ideal candidate is highly organized, works effectively with internal and external contacts, has the ability to shift gears at a moment's notice and enjoys the challenges of developing and improving processes in a dynamic organization. The successful candidate will also have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, superior attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Operational knowledge of wide variety of operational and regulatory concepts, particularly within aviation, is essential to perform the role successfully. The candidate must also possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon's ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Have completed a recognized National Qualified Entity (NQE) course
· 2+ years working in a professional aviation role or UAS Industry
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent aviation experience
· Knowledge and experience with CAA rules and regulations, including CAP 722 and the Air Navigation Order
· Strong communication and writing credentials
· Must be able to travel 30%, as necessary
· Problem solver, able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary - sense of accountability and sound professional judgment
· A valid driver's license
