Overview of the internship
The successful candidate will become part of a team of managers and analysts who drive business insight that is the basis for business decision making in the pan-EU Operations organization.
Amazon will teach you through this internship how to develop and execute analyses that will drive performance improvements and cost savings. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills and have a passion for using data to drive business decisions. Expect to discover how cross-functional teams function and who are their internal customers at all levels of the organization. Through this internship, you will learn how to support financial reporting; root-cause analysis, variance analysis, controls etc for EU Operations and EU Operations Finance organizations.

Main Tasks
EU Customer Fulfilment (CF) Finance Infra Team is broadly segmented into Shipping Supplies, External Fulfilment (EF), and Capital Expenditure and Real Estate.
Main tasks can broadly be summarized as under –
· Dive Deep into monthly and quarterly variances for actuals vs forecast for Shipping Supplies, summarize top 5 key points, and communicate effectively in the Monthly Business Report (MBR)
· Assist in Weekly Approval process for Capital Expenditure required to support Amazon's growth strategy in EU
· Participate in the development, delivering, and improvement of weekly and monthly financial and operational performance metrics for Shipping Supplies and EF.
· Understand pain-points from current complex tasks that are executed manually and address pain-points through automation and simplicity to drive efficiency in productivity

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business management, Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics or other quantitative areas,
· Advanced analytical skills and detail-oriented while also seeing and understanding the big picture.
· Knowledge in Excel and SQL
· Fluent English both written and spoken.
