An ideal candidate will be someone with sound technical background in data domain – storage / processing / analytics, has solid business acumen and a strong automation / solution oriented thought process. Will be a self-starter who can start with a business problem and work backwards to conceive & devise best possible solution. Is a great communicator and at ease on partnering with business owners and other internal / external teams. Can explore newer technology options, if need be, and has a high sense of ownership over every deliverable by the team. Is constantly obsessed with customer delight & business impact / end result and ‘gets it done' in business time.

Key functions will include:
· Define data management best practices across HIT
· Review system designs and architecture for performance, security, scalability, and high availability
· Gather and implement business and technical requirements for changes to data models, and ETL pipelines
· Create new logical models and convert them to physical models
· Execute data/schema modifications
· Manage and optimize data system costs
· System administration and maintenance
· Build self-service tools and portals for common data requests
· Review critical business queries to ensure accuracy and completeness

QUALIFICATIONS DE BASE

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
· 5+ years relevant experience
· Expertise with SQL and relational database systems
· Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
· Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
· Proficiency with Linux and systems administration
· Proven ability at looking at solutions in unconventional ways. Sees opportunities to innovate and can lead the way.
· Top notch communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to convey key insights from complex analysis in summarized business terms and an ability to effectively communicate with technical teams.
· Ability to work with shifting deadlines in a fast paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS APPRÉCIÉES

· Master's in Computer Science or related field
· 4+ years experience developing end-to-end Business Intelligence solutions: data modeling, ETL and reporting
· 3+ years experience with SQL, SQL Tuning, OLAP, Big Data Technologies
· Practical Knowledge of Linux or Unix shell scripting
· Experience in working with business customers to drive requirements analysis
· Exposure to large databases, BI applications, data quality and performance tuning
· Excellent written and spoken communication skills
· Experience in large-scale data warehousing and analytical projects, including using AWS technologies – Redshift, S3, Data-pipeline and other Big Data Technologies
· Strong proven ability in building high-performance, highly available and scalable data solutions
· Experience with Java and experience with scripting languages like Perl, Python, Unix shell scripts,VBA and MS Excel
· Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
· Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
· Experience with Amazon Web Services
