DESCRIPTION

Machine Learning (ML) is becoming pervasive across Amazon's technologies including voice, vision, data, robotics and decision systems and requires specialized, in-demand knowledge. Amazon's Machine Learning University (MLU) provides graduate level ML focused educational experiences to Amazon tech employees globally. MLU is seeking a curriculum developer to provide leadership in the MLU curriculum flywheel by engaging scientist and tech instructors and teaching assistants, develop curriculum for foundational modules and occasionally teach or TA classes. This role also supports MLU's partnership with the AWS Training and Curriculum organization.

Excellent candidates have theoretical and practical knowledge of machine learning, strong Python coding skills, effective technical writing skills and experience in teaching and/or developing learning materials for adult learners. Candidates who have a technical background, an inclination to learn and be curious in ML and the ability effectively collaborate with science leaders will excel.

Responsibilities include:
· Develop scalable and reusable ML foundational curriculum content in various areas of Machine Learning
· Guide and support curriculum development with volunteer instructors.
· Recruit and develop volunteer instructors and teaching assistants for Machine Learning University from various technical roles across the company.
· Manage relevant ML datasets, internal tools and computing resources for MLU
· Provide basic teaching and technical support to volunteer instructors and teaching assistants during their teaching experience. Facilitate check-ins for global instructors and teaching assistants.
· Identify and manage internal ML competitions and collect relevant ML datasets for educational purposes.
· Occasionally teach or TA MLU classes

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:
· Graduate degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics or relevant Engineering field
· 3+ years of experience in machine learning or related field
· Strong Python programming skills; experience in ML productionalization
· Strong written communication skills
