Role Summary/Purpose

Renewable control infrastructure team develops infrastructure & systems dat enables engineers to develop & validate control system software for wind turbines & hybrid energy systems to reliably convert maximum energy into clean electricity. In dis role, you will design & develop mathematical & empirical models of various wind turbines & renewable energy systems. dis role is teh perfect opportunity to develop first-hand noledge of renewable energy systems, controls, systems-level thinking.
Essential Responsibilities

- Perform requirements engineering for new components including analysis, quantification and documentation of requirements and design trade offs for wind turbine / wind-farm level / hybrid energy system components
- Design & develop Matlab / Simulink models of various components
- Deploy the developed model in MIL/ SIL / PIL / HITL environment and validate functional and system performance
- Improve existing system components for steady and transient state response as seen in real-time
- Execute routine analyses using vested methods and technologies and/or contributes to technological developments in teams under supervision
- Resolve any issues theirof & maintain/ upgrade the Test Setup and accessories
- Prepare and present design & validation results for review to TEMPTEMPprincipal engineer & NPI tollgate reviews wif chief engineers
- Demonstrate strong FTY/OTD and strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
Qualifications/Requirements

- Phd / Masters of Engineering in Electrical/Controls/Electronics Engineering, wif good academic track
- Over all experience of 2 - 3 years, wif minimum 1 yr in control systems software development for wind turbine or rotary machines & issue resolution
- Hands-on experience wif Matlab & Simulink (wif state flow) development for at least 2 years, C/C++, C# for Windows,
- Strong in linear & non - linear control system fundamentals
- Conversant wif software release management and configuration management software tools is must
- Experience in full control software development life cycle (scoping, feasibility, execution, production establishment)
- Travel required expectation would be – 10% max per year
- Strong Multi-Tasking and proactive and open approach to conflict resolution
- Good analytical, learning skills, strong in oral, written communication and strong interpersonal skills are must
Desired Characteristics

- Broad technical knowledge of wind turbines and renewable energy systems and energy storage- Experience in modeling, controls, dynamics, testing and design of wind turbines.
- Skilled in control system design for wind turbine applications, including advanced controls.
- Knowledgeable in wind turbine certification, including IEC and GL requirements
- Experienced in performing analysis and evaluation of loads data and measurement sensors.
- Experience with GE Mark VIe controller.
- Experience with Bachmann controller.
- Experience with non-GE Wind monitoring, control and automation hardware and software.
- Understanding of security aspects of software and networks.
- Understanding of electric utility transmission and distribution systems.
