Amazon is seeking a Construction Coordinator who would love to help us with construction project administration. This Seattle based position will be part of an exciting, fast-moving business unit, where everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats and work effectively in a highly collaborative environment. This position requires you to manage schedules, contracts, change orders, and permits—because organization and attention to detail are in your DNA. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners. You will make decisions and find solutions quickly and with confidence, and not expect someone else to show you the right way forward. Duties include (but are not limited to):
· Responsible for tracking project status and informing team on status of work, escalating issues as required.
· Creates and maintains project files.
· Creates and distributes weekly reports as requested by construction managers.
· Assists with onboarding of new vendors, provides access and permissions to tools and software.
· Responsible for collecting vendor quotes and processing purchase orders for assigned scope. Track and adjust schedules as needed.
· Communicates and distributes project related information to vendors and internal partners.
· Drive cross-functional team compliance / participation in required deliverables
· Tracks SDS (Site Delivery Schedule) and ensures all Construction-driven POs and related deliveries to the job sites with GC are on schedule.
· Assists with Change-Management Program requirements
· Generates, tracks and ensures timely general contractor payments internally.
· Compiles and submits MCAs and Work Orders for internal approval and execution.
· Coordinate with consultants to set up utility services with local providers (electrical, telephone, water, etc.)
· Coordinate with internal teams to collect tenant improvement allowances
· Receives and processes invoices through Accounts Payable.
· Assists in compiling project reconciliation documents for Construction Manager
· Participates in the continuous improvement of construction processes and implementation of best practices to maximize efficiency for the Store Development team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in facility or construction management, architecture, or business related field.
· 5+ years of experience in the construction or facilities industry, including project administration, tracking, reporting, and progressive experience in managing orders through complete order life cycle.
· The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem solving skills.
· Proven track record for cultivating strong relationships with key client and supplier stakeholders that have resulted in high customer satisfaction.
· · Above-average skills in Microsoft Applications – Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 3+ years of experience in the construction or facilities industry, including project administration, tracking, reporting, and progressive experience in managing orders through complete order life cycle.
· Required: High School diploma or GED or 4 + years of US military experience.
· · Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
· · Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment.
· · Demonstrates willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing work environment and deals effectively with varying workload requirements; can shift gears comfortably, manages competing demands, delays or unexpected events.
· · Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
· · Knowledge of development process life cycle.
· · Knowledge of physical construction in retail environment.
· · Proficient in Microsoft Applications – Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
