Amazon's Global Marketing team (XCM) is building the most measurably effective and scalable integrated marketing capability, ever. As Amazon launches products and services in new areas (e.g. Voice Services, Video, Groceries, etc.), the Global Marketing team invests in longer-term campaigns for awareness, education, engagement, and adoption of these products and services. The Global Marketing team uses a range of marketing channels including TV, print, social, on-site, and on-device in order to achieve Amazon's most strategic and challenging goals at the lowest possible cost. The Tools and Tech team builds technology to make this vision possible. We connect the targeting, messaging, and optimization efforts of marketing channels to delight customers, achieve business goals, and keep marketing cost low. With that savings, we invest in new experiences that make our customer's lives easier, better, and more fun.

The Tools and Tech Reporting Team will define and develop automated reporting solutions for the Global Marketing team. We are seeking team members who are inspired by the vision of the team, and are interested in marketing. They should have the technical chops to design and/or build reporting solutions that connect independent marketing channels. The result will be a robust, global, self-serve reporting framework that supports multiple groups within the Global Marketing team. This enables marketing to scale across many business and channels, and gives smart marketing leaders the insights they need to focus their ideas, creativity, and energy.

You have experience in customer analytics, marketing analytics, reporting, and big data, and a desire to understand more about these subjects. You have great judgment, clear communication skills, and a track record of delivering products.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree
· 3+ years of customer or marketing analytics experience
· Experience in using statistical analysis software packages (e.g. R, SQL, Python)
· Experience with MicoStrategy, Tableau, Business Objects, QlikView or other reporting or data visualization tools
· Knowledge of Redshift, Netezza, Greenplum, Vertica or other Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) database platforms
· Knowledge of Map Reduce frameworks such as Hive/Hadoop
· Experience designing and working with engineers to build analytics reporting services for production environments
