DESCRIPTION
Marketplace Business Planning Team is seeking a highly motivated Business Intelligence Engineer to manage the growth of Amazon Japan's Marketplace Business. The Business Intelligence Engineer will support CMM (Category Merchant Manager) by building tracking of project performance and performing dive-deep analysis to help making business decisions. The ideal candidate will possess solid analytical and communication skills as well as strong Excel/SQL skills.
Responsibilities:
· Work with CMM from multiple project areas and deliver analysis to identify opportunities and risks
· Build and track performance metrics
· Perform dive-deep analysis of under-performing/over-performing metrics and present the findings of the analysis comprehensively
· Extract data required for analysis from multiple Internal Data Warehouses and Web Analytics Tools. This may involve building new tables in Data Warehouse if the required data is not available
· Work as a subject matter expert and raise the bar of business analytics

Desired profile
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience in data mining/analysis, working extensively in large scale databases and data warehouses (3+ years)
· Experience in advanced SQL operations (3+ years)
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
· Quick learner with positive “can do“ attitude and solid professionalism
· BA/BS degree
· Business Level Japanese and English (TOEIC 900+)
