Business Development Manager – Customer Acquisition & Engagement, Amazon Business Marketplace

We are looking for a hands-on, detail oriented and highly motivated Business Development Manager to be part of the Customer Acquisition & Engagement team on the Amazon Business marketplace (AB). AB's vision is to be the destination for all businesses in India to find, discover and buy for all their business needs.
The candidate would need to actively collaborate with other stakeholders like the B2B Category team, 3P Seller and Selection Acquisition team, Public Policy, AWS, Gift Cards, Finance and Product.

The position is based at the Amazon India headquarters in Bangalore.

Role and Responsibilities:
· Prospect and acquire SMB and Enterprise Customers to buy from AB
· Partner with internal Amazon teams such as AWS, Gift Cards and 3P Direct Sales to drive customer acquisition for AB
· Work with the Amazon Public Policy team to establish partnerships with industry/trade bodies to drive acquisition and engagement events among their member bases
· Liaise with the Finance team on driving ROI for the industry body events organized
· Engage with key customers in focus industry segments to enable and drive a consistent buying behavior on AB measured by their frequency, volume and value of purchases
· Influence B2B Category and 3P teams to modify their selection acquisition roadmap based on a systematic need-gap analysis for customers in the BDM's focus customer segment
· Work with the Marketing team to engage with brands to drive co-op revenues and in turn fund cashback schemes for business customers
· Represent the metrics of their respective customer segments at weekly AB review meetings with leadership

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications
· MBA or equivalent post-graduation, with at least two years of experience in Sales or Account management.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
