Who are we looking for in AGFS fees?
The AGFS Fee team is looking for an experienced and self - driven Business Analyst to join the team. The candidate is expected to leverage the latest in data mining and predictive modeling techniques to enhance our current pricing calculation models. The individual will be responsible for developing quantitative models to improve our understanding of Seller Behavior and to support other ongoing analytical efforts of AGFS Fees team. Ideally, the candidate should be comfortable with working with ambiguous data, and data from multiple sources. You would be expected to analyze large datasets, identify trends and patterns, and uncover insights for key business decisions. The candidate will work closely with teams in Product Development, Marketing, Business Strategy, Supply Chain and Software Development on a day-to-day basis.

We are looking for the following competencies:
· Experience in mining large quantities of data using SQL and other tools. (required).
· Experience is using Statistical and Econometric Concepts to solve real life business problems.
· Strong problem solving skills.
· Someone who can think big and be creative (while paying careful attention to detail), and will enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Drive development of quantitative models necessary for the evaluation and implementation of new pricing strategies
· Develop tools to understand Sellers' behaviors related to pricing changes
· Collaborate with product managers to develop pricing recommendations for new features or services
· Partner with finance and product management as a leader of quantitative analysis
· Communicate with software developers to insure proper implementation of complex models
· Analyze and solve business problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context
· Write high quality code to retrieve and analyze data
· Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon's data resources and know how, when, and which to use
· Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· M.S. in a quantitative field such as Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics or Operations Research.
· At least 2 years of relevant experience in analytics using advanced forecasting, optimization and/or machine learning techniques
· Experience solving complex quantitative business challenges
· Verbal/written communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
· Experience in data mining (SQL, ETL, data warehouse, etc.) and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex data
