Amazon has an opening in New York City, New York for an IT Digital Media Tech to be part of our Audio/video solutions in our New York Offices, providing remote and in person support for multiple sites. Our team owns the customer experience, supporting Amazon employees across a variety of departments and skill sets. We strive to improve inefficient processes and advocate for the customer whenever possible.

Our engineers are the face of AV/IT. They provide support across all major operating systems and hands on support of AV site infrastructure. They support events, prepare AV equipment for event use, perform asset management and some project management. They partner with global teams to ensure optimal AV site health and work directly with vendors holding them to service agreements.

They are responsible for operations supporting the creation of high-quality AV/VC services, which deliver a best-in-class customer experience. Effectively manages event requirements while developing solutions to guarantee customer experience, operational effectiveness and scalability. Works on the Global IT Operations team including Amazon Live Events to ensure seamless planning and execution of onsite Events/Meetings. Responsibilities include being in a team that strives for customer excellence when executing an event or meeting, analyzing data to improve that experience, and eliminate issues. Drives innovation through constant reevaluation of existing technology, workflows and development of new processes to keep our team producing world-class imagery at the highest-possible efficiency and quality.
The Digital Media Tech II position serves as main point of assistance and oversight for onsite AV/digital meetings/events in collaboration with teams that are driving these events/meetings. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· AV equipment setup/strike for a meeting or event, including troubleshooting and resolving issues prior to or during the event. This covers all video cameras and equipment, computer laptops, DVD, MP3, or other media players, video projectors, VTC endpoints, audio systems and their components, telephones, document cameras, and other miscellaneous AV related equipment or cabling.
· Create and maintain excellent relationships with our internal customers and co-workers.
· Provide customers with venue options for external and internal events. Correspond with venue in regards to Audio, Visual, and Production elements to ensure that customer production needs can be met.
· Adjust work schedule when needed to support Amazon business needs.
· Analyze then establish new AV processes and/or improve existing processes, to bring efficiency, productivity, and positive customer experiences.
· Track all aspects of the execution of meetings and events via our ticketing system to ensure continuous improvement of the execution and productivity.
· Assist event organizers with presentation formatting.
· Build and execute creative production solutions to meet current and future needs.
· Supporting Windows, Mac, Ubuntu Linux operating systems
· Supporting PC hardware, software, and peripherals

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree or higher in media production, IT engineering or related field
· Minimum of 3-5 years working in the digital media space including handling of all types of media equipment.
· 2+ years supporting PC hardware and Microsoft Windows in an enterprise environment
· 2+ years supporting Mac in an enterprise environment
· An ability to think creatively and apply strong analytical and problem solving skills, driving issues to resolution.
· Strong attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Ability to effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors to get things done.
