DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services Security Operations Center (AWS-SOC) is looking for an individual to work as an Associate SOC Analyst that embodies our 14 leadership principles; especially strong in Customer Obsession, Bias for Action, and Earns Trust. This individual will work within the SOC in order to respond to all physical security events affecting or threatening AWS data infrastructure, associates, operations, and assets worldwide.

The Associate SOC Analyst will work with leaders to adhere to procedures and Service Level Agreements concerning AWS security processes. The Associate SOC Analyst will also manage email, phone communications, generate and/or manage trouble tickets, handle incoming chats, and provide technical support to customers. Additional responsibilities include functions such as intrusion detection, access control and internal SOC coordination.

The successful candidate must have a proven record of accomplishment of customer service, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrate good judgment while multi-tasking. The candidate will also be able to follow SOC tasks and procedures, and using discretion when dealing with sensitive information. The AWS SOC is a 24/7/365 operation and shift work will be required to include nights and weekends.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in the security discipline or relevant professional experience
· Provide proof of US citizenship
· 1-2 years' previous experience working within an operations center
· 1-2 years' experience demonstrating customer service skills
· 1-2 years' experience configuring and modifying access control systems (ex: Lenel, Multi-Max, C-Cure, Honeywell, etc.
· 1-2 years' previous experience using MS Office Suite to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
· 1-2 years' experience demonstrating multitasking skills including the ability to answer multiple phone lines, prioritization of e-mail, instant message, and ticket related communication
· 1-2 years' experience working in fast paced environments, and ability manage workload even during times of stress or escalated activity
· Ability to work any shift within the 24/7 operation, including holidays and weekends and sit for prolonged periods
