Job description

DESCRIPTION

Amazon Business represents an incredible opportunity to address a vast new market segment and customer base and is an area of high interest for Amazon. We are focused on building solutions that enable B2B customers to find, research, and buy products and services from a vast selection, across multiple devices, marketplaces and regions. Our customers include individual professionals, small businesses to large institutions (and everything in between). Business customers have different needs than the traditional Amazon customer so we are reinventing everything from how we display our selection, price our products, and provide the right customer experience.

The Amazon Business Selection Classification and Catalog Quality team is seeking an Applied Scientist for developing ML techniques that can help with applying industry classification to Amazon products into our catalog and also build new ways to improve our catalog content. The Amazon Business Selectin Classification team works on new set of initiatives where we are standardizing the taxonomy that can be leveraged at scale by Business customers across various different verticals and segments. Your focus will be building models and delivering them into the Amazon production ecosystem. This is an exciting problem to solve as you are planned to work with billions of products in our catalog and drive classification of these products with a high degree of precision and scale to multiple marketplaces.
The ideal candidate has deep expertise in one or several of the following fields: Web search, Applied/Theoretical Machine Learning, Deep Neural Networks, Classification Systems, Clustering, Label Propagation, Artificial Intelligence
