DESCRIPTION

We are a centralized machine learning team in Pricing, partner with a number of Selling Partner teams to develop strategic solutions and platforms to drive for innovations to improve both the way customers search, discover products and internal revenue management at Amazon.

Seeking DEEP LEARNING experts to innovate the modeling of products and improve the shopping experience at Amazon. You must be passionate about creating algorithms and models that can scale to hundreds of millions of products, and insanely curious about building new technology and unlocking its potential. You will partner with technology and business leaders to build new state-of-the-art algorithms, models and services that surprise and delight our customers. As part of the new centralized machine learning team in Pricing, you will use ML techniques such as deep learning to create and put into production models that deliver the price recommendations.

Major responsibilities
· Work closely with the business to understand the problem space, identify the opportunities and formulate the problems
· Use machine learning, data mining, statistical techniques and others to create actionable, meaningful, and scalable solutions for the business problems
· Analyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of Amazon's historical business data to help automate and optimize key processes
· Design, develop and evaluate highly innovative models for predictive learning
· Interact with software engineering teams to build data platforms for large-scale data analysis and modeling
· Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation
· Research and implement novel machine learning and statistical approaches

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or in another highly quantitative field
· 2+ years of hands-on experience in deep learning, predictive modeling and analysis
· Ability to distill problem definitions, models and constraints from informal business requirements, and to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives
· Skills with Java, C++ (or other high-level programming language) as well as Python (or similar scripting language)
· Communication and data presentation skills
· A natural curiosity and desire to learn
