Software Development Engineer - Full Stack

Purpose

The ideal candidate will be a hardworking, motivated, deadline driven individual who loves building cutting edge applications for web and mobile. Applicants should have multiple years of experience in development. Ideally the candidate has a fair knowledge in software architecture, expert knowledge in backend development and modular front end development using either the latest development technologies or native mobile development technologies. Understanding of the concepts of progressive and iterative enhancements, responsiveness and user-friendly interactions and experience is a must. The perfect candidate will need a keen eye for details and high standards for code quality and efficiency. Knowledge of best practices in prototyping is highly desirable.

Key accountabilities
* Understand and implement architecture as defined by Principal Engineers or Architects
* Liaise with Product Owner, Principal Engineers or Architects to acquire the necessary level of understanding of the requirements
* Implement software to achieve stability, scalability and performance
* Develop and implement software, templates, databases and interfaces if needed
* Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications.
* Maintain code integrity and organization.
* Understand and implement security and data protection.
* Conduct unit, package and performance tests and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.
* Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary to finalize the product.
* Support the customer by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst
* Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting department
* Monitor new trends on software architecture, technology and design. Perform metrics-based evaluations of new technologies to determine potential contributions.

Desired profile

Skills
* Experience working with graphic designers and converting designs to visual elements.
* Proficient experience in back-end programming languages
* Proficient experience using AngularJS (or alternatives)
* Development experience for both mobile and desktop.


Soft skills
* Experience working in Agile environments
* Good collaboration skills with people and within projects
* Good presentation skills (e.g., colleagues, customers, conferences)

* Recommends process, product and/or service improvements based on understanding and anticipation of internal and external business challenges
* Autonomously solves unique and complex problems that have broad impact in the business
