Team Description

Within Airline IT, Digital and Merchandizing division, the New Distribution Capability (NDC) group is responsible for designing, building, delivering and maintaining the Amadeus New Distribution Capability solutions : a new way for airlines to expose their offers (flights, seats, bag gages, hotels, goodies, external content) to any retailer in the world: travel agencies, airlines.com, meta search, GDS, but also less conventional applications, such as social media or market places.

How? By having standardised XML/JSON services targeting directly the airline systems (PSS, Merchandizing platforms, Pricing engines, Customer Relationship Management...) allowing to shop and order content in a user friendly flow

The group is composed of product definition analysts, software engineers working in different Agile organized teams

Main Responsibilities

The trainee will participate in the design and development of a social network based booking app (android app or iOs app), relying on the REST (XML or JSON) NDC APIs developed in the team, as well as the social networks REST APIs. The app (that can be integrated as a social network app/plugin) will use end user preferences / data to organize and book its travels.

The main tasks of this internship will be :

· In sync with the product definition/software engineer team, propose the architecture of the app for the targeted use cases
· Develop / test the booking application relying on the REST APIs (Amadeus and public APIs)
· Propose evolutions /enhancements on the application (functional / architecture)
· Showcase the app to Product Management teams and get their feedbacks

Requirements

· Proactiveness, functional and technical awareness are key
· Software development skills : JavaScript / JSON / Android / UI or App development
· Knowledge of iOS SWIFT and REST APIs is a plus
