Amadeus Travel Intelligence leverages Big Data technologies to crunch the colossal amount of data generated by Amadeus and partners in order to provide insights and guidance for corporations to optimize their operations and to maximize their revenues.
Amadeus Travel Intelligence is operating its applications in a DevOps way using different cloud providers. The intern will be part of that DevOps team.
Hadoop became the de-facto standard for big data processing. How about we challenge this standard and learn different approaches from upcoming projects?
Can Pachyderm, Manta or other technologies be better suited to our jobs? (In terms of ease of collaboration, performances, upscaling, reliability, etc...)
The trainee will participate in following activities:
- State-of-the art
What are the researches that have already been done on that topic? Which one are worth exploring deeper?
Based on the results found, choose one or two studies that can be candidate for a working prototype
- Proposal for migration
Based on the results of the prototype, find the best approach to migrate our current big data applications to another stack, when relevant.
- Fluent in english
- Understanding of cloud models and distributed architectures
- Big Data
- Analytical thinking
- Good communication
