Business environment

As part of the Development Lifecycle Automation (DLA), CI/CD Pipeline (CCP) mission is to improve Amadeus efficiency by providing and operating a scalable, resilient and agnostic CI/CD pipeline that will foster automation. It provides solutions, tooling and support for 5000+ developers located in more than 20 locations. CCP group is composed of several teams located in Nice, Bangalore and Boston.

The CI/CD Collaboration Services (CSR) team is responsible for providing a reliable and scalable collaboration platform, based on the Atlassian tool suite, to all Amadeus developers.

CSR supports (maintenance & evolution) the following products with their ecosystems:

· Bitbucket
· Confluence
· Hipchat
· Platinum (internal collaborative version control, above Mercurial)

Key accountabilities

· The CSR engineer deploys, evolves and maintains the collaborative platform based on the Atlassian tool suite. His/Her role is equivalent to the DevOps philosophy: truly cross-functional knowledge: from coding to monitoring, through building, testing, packaging, and releasing and configuring. The CSR engineer works in an Agility context (Scrum)
· He/She keeps up-to-date with the cutting edge of open-source DevOps solutions.
· He/She handles all requests from CCP. He/She prioritises the request according to the management and the planning.
· He/She also ensures the 2nd and 3rd level support of different modules, applying incident and problem management principle, including communication and follow-up to customers.
· He/She understands the daily work of a software developer. He/She is able to propose and guarantee solutions which will help and optimize this daily work of Amadeus developers.

Technical context

With 5000+ developers, 20 geographical locations, 60K+ Git repositories, 1000+ pull requests per day, 10TB of deliverables, 400+ Confluence pages created each day... CCP services must be highly available and resilient. A single minute of outage has a business impact on Amadeus as a whole with developers unable to carry out their work.

As such, Collaborative Services team works on several various topics, such as:

· Atlassian platform evolution by following the Atlassian releasing cycle.
· Process automation as a key to ease deployment of new version or feature.
· High availability for all CSR services through, for instance, clustering solutions.
· Plugin development (and support) to integrate the CI/CD platform with Atlassian ecosystem.

All provided services have proper monitoring and alerting.

Education

University Degree in Scientific studies or engineer school.

Relevant work experience

· Operations Support and/or Software Development experience.
· At least two years of experience.
· Having already managed a production system would be a plus.
