Business environment

Working in the payment department you will be part of the Search, Shopping and Priching (SSP) division.

You will be working as a Software Development Engineer in our Product Definition and Payments Development division, designing travel payment solutions to airlines, travel agencies and beyond (airports…) all over the world.

You will work in a multicultural team and will be in contact with other Amadeus sites as the team is not only based in Nice (Sophia Antipolis) but also in Bangalore, Boston, Madrid and Bogota.

You will participate to the different on-going projects such as providing Europay Mastercard Visa (EMV) payment solutions, providing analytics/BI tools for our customers, flexible/seamless integration of many new form of payments (Paypal, Virtual credit cards,..), providing fraud screening engine (to detect if a CC or Method Of Payment is a stolen one) etc...

Due to this many on-going projects you will have to work in agile (SCRUM, Kanban) and investigate flexible framework and technologies (like MongoDB, JSON,…).

Today our main competitior is Payment Service Providers that don’t have Travel Knowledge.

Purpose

You will analyze user needs, design, code, test, debug, document and maintain software solutions in C++ mainly. You will also handle a coordinate role between the other development and prodct development analyst teams.

You will also have a room for propositions/innovations and will learn a lot on the payment industry for travel.

Requirements

You will have already worked in customer-focused software engineering, and have an appetite for a challenge. As this is a growing area, we want you to bring your industry expertise and ideas to the table and to handle a full project by yourself with reporting, risks, coordination with all the level of the entities. Our business is changing rapidly, and we want to keep that flexibility.

You will have demonstrable experience as a Software Developer and have worked on payment development projects from start to finish.

Technical Skills

You will have experience in:

· Unix/Linux
· Design Patterns
· C++/Java/Object Oriented languages
· XML/Edifact/JSON
· SQL/Oracle/NoSQL Databases
· OTF/SI
· Webservices
· Distributed environments
· Python

You will learn these skills on the job if you do not have every one of these.

Education

· University degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
· English (fluent - we are an international business, our business environment is primarily through English)
