Business environment

Amadeus Passenger Revenue Accounting is one of the latest additions to the Amadeus IT product portfolio, establishing itself at the forefront of innovation, acting as link between the Passenger Service System and the Airline's financial world.

Revenue Accounting is a critical product for Airlines, as it ensures that invoicing and payments are correctly managed between the airline and its distribution channel, or with airline partners.

Accounting functions are required to quickly adapt to the Airline’s strategies:

· Makeshift partnerships, joint ventures and consolidation
· Hybridization from LCC to mix models supported by different solution providers
· Operation of dual/multiple brands
· Complex Airline ownership & Control models

Within this landscape the Product Manager role needs to strive for a consultative approach to orchestrate the best adapted solutions and portfolio helping the airline financial leaders to success

Purpose

Belonging to the Revenue Accounting and Financial suite Airline IT Department, the Revenue Accounting product manager will be responsible to drive the future of Amadeus Revenue Accounting portfolio, ensure customer retention and participate on industry organizations defining the needed Airline standards.

The business ecosystem of the Revenue Accounting Product Manager is wide and relatively rich composed of a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Key accountabilities

· Analyse business requirements from specific customers/prospects or provided by Product Line Manager
· Analyse and reduce gaps between business requirements and Amadeus offering
· Consolidate and articulate business needs into new product concepts or enhancements in line with Amadeus’ distinctive competencies
· Work closely with Development counterparts to recommend priorities and define product releasing plan for new products or enhancements (both contents and delivery)
· Establish a written statement of requirements (SOR) and provide input to development for detailed functional specifications
· Review functional specifications to ensure they correspond to identified customer / market needs
· Provide input for functional test plans and scripts (user personas and user scenarios)
· Provide input to the budget process
· Initiate project with Development counterpart (Development Project Manager) once product plan and budget have been validated
· Mobilise R&D line organizations to assure delivery of Amadeus commitments
· Manage requirements and project change proposals during development cycle
· Perform marketing acceptance and validate launch of UAT phase
· Provide product content as needed to support documentation, training, sales tools and collateral creation
· Support sales efforts through product presentations and demos
· Monitor customer satisfaction and take corrective action as necessary

Experienced Product Managers are responsible for a strategic and complex, cross-organization, cross-functional solution/product (with complex algorithm and complex interactions with other products and channels).

· Recommends process, product and/or service improvements based on understanding and anticipation of internal and external business challenges
· Autonomously solves unique and complex problems that have broad impact in the business
· Receives guidance from management only in the most complex situations

Education

University degree in Business, Business Engineering, Product Management, Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience

Relevant work experience

· Minimum 3 years’ experience of Revenue Accounting, Ticketing, Pricing in a similar role.
· Additional Airline Industry background is a plus.
