Team Description

Over the last decade, Online Travel Agencies and Meta Search websites such as Expedia, Orbitz and Kayak have become key actors in the airline shopping business. The boom of the internet flight search is never-ending, with an increase rate of +30% transactional searches every year.

The Availability for Search team is in charge of designing and developing solutions to enhance the quality and performances of search and shopping products.

Main Responsibilities

The cost impact of this boom in flight search needs to be assessed continuously. It is an important activity in our department to be optimized.

We need to improve the speed and user friendliness of existing tools.

The trainee will participate in following activities:

· Understand how the current tool is working and users’ experience of it
· Help the team to propose and design possible improvements
· Participate to develop a user interface in the language of your choice (even a very simple one) displaying different information based on different types of users
· With the help of the team, communicate the enhancements and train the relevant teams

As Amadeus operation teams are based in Munich, temporary stay in Germany might be necessary to better understand requirements.

Requirements

Personal required skills: information gathering, good listening and communication skills, accountability, autonomy, good English level (oral and writing).

No technical skills required, only the motivation to learn a simple language like VBA or Django. Prior knowledge is a plus.
