Team Description

Our team activity is focused on the travel search engine and more particularly the journey planning component of the Amadeus Shopping platform. We need to realize a modern, pleasing and efficient Web application to assist our support teams.

Our C++ application calculates millions of best journeys per second for airlines, agencies, and travellers all around the world. It has a very interesting architecture and efficient algorithms. Since it is widely used, the quality and efficiency of the support is extremely important.

Currently it is difficult to understand why a travel solution was not returned by our complex algorithms. This internship is an opportunity to create a powerful and valuable tool for all support teams, and help them investigate such cases.

Internship Details

The intern will learn all the important aspects of software development and will design and implement a web application and its interface using the latest web technologies.

This internship is an opportunity to:

· Interact and learn with functional and technical experts
· Put into practice C++ back-end development and modern web technologies such as AngularJS, Rest APIs
· Work within an agile team witha team spirit
· Help the team to elaborate an application with immediate and true benefits for support teams
· Be innovative regarding the design and presentation of the UI

The web application should be able to interact with the search engine algorithm using a Rest API in order to get important details regarding the optimality and results of a journey planning transaction.

The UI presentation could range from a pure and simple interface to a virtual agent interacting with people in natural language. Creativity is welcomed.

Requirements

· Computer science: C++, Web, UI
· Good English level
· Ability to learn quickly
· Inventiveness
· Good analytical skills
